Synopsis:

Kyle Shipp (John Beck) is a tough, old-style cop working for the Yuma Country Sheriff's Office near the Mexican. Lately, he's had his share of problems. The mutilated corpse of a woman named Rita Paris has been uncovered in the desert. She supposedly died 16 years ago. To make matters worse, a hot-shot investigator has been called in to help "modernize" the department. Paul McGraw (Steven Bauer) is at first shocked by Kyle's free-wheeling sense of justice. But eventually he comes to admire both Kyle and his beautiful daughter (Mia Sara).

With the help of Paul and the coroner (Katharine Ross), Kyle tries to unravel the mystery of Rita Paris. Along the way, he clashes with the unravel the mystery of Rita Paris.
